The National Advisory Committee on Seniors and Disasters (NACSD) and National Advisory Committee on Individuals with Disabilities and Disasters (NACIDD) Joint Public Meeting will be held virtually on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET. Advanced registration is required. The NACSD and NACIDD will provide expert advice and guidance to HHS regarding the specific needs of older adults and people with disabilities, respectively, related to disaster preparedness and response.  Committee members will discuss recommendations regarding the specific needs of older adults and people with disabilities, respectively, related to disaster preparedness and response. Drafts of the recommendations for public review will be on the NACSD / NACIDD public meeting page as soon as they are available.  

Anyone may submit questions or comments to the committee members by email to (NACSD@hhs.gov and NACIDD@hhs.gov) ahead of the meeting. If time allows, committee members will address as many written comments as possible.
